Staff Sabers and Split Sabers

Double bladed lightsabers in this collection come in two configurations, and the difference matters depending on how you plan to use it.

Staff sabers have a single continuous hilt with emitters at both ends. Both blades operate from one central hilt, ideal for spinning techniques, wide-range strikes, and dramatic combat choreography.

Split sabers have a hilt that detaches into two fully functional single-blade sabers, each with independent controls. One saber becomes two: use it as a double-bladed staff on your own, or separate it so two people can duel with one each. The great thing about the split design is its versatility. Should one blade get damaged during a duel, you still have a working saber in hand.

Why Double Bladed Sabers Are Great for Dueling

A double bladed lightsaber wielder has more range during combat and can offend and defend from many sides. The long extended hilt lets you parry strike after strike without excessive movement, making it easier to hold your ground against multiple opponents. The twin blades also give you an element of surprise. You can distract with one side and strike with the other when the opportunity arises.

Double bladed lightsabers are relatively lightweight for their size thanks to aircraft-grade aluminum construction, so the learning curve is shorter than you might expect.

RGB and Neopixel Options

All double bladed sabers in this collection are available in both RGB and Neopixel core options.

RGB sabers use a high-powered LED in each emitter to illuminate the blade from the base. They offer 4 blade effects (stable, pulse, ghost, and blaster) and are the more durable choice for heavy-contact dueling since no electronics sit inside the polycarbonate blade tube.

Neopixel sabers run a full LED strip inside each blade, enabling 9 blade effects (stable, unstable, pulse, wave, ghost, cross, infinite, rainbow, and fire), plus scrolling ignition and retraction, flash-on-clash, and consistent brightness from base to tip. The SNV4 Pro core ships with 27 pre-loaded sound fonts. The Proffie V2.2 ships with 25 pre-loaded sound fonts and is fully programmable for enthusiasts who want complete control.

Both blades have at least 12 colors to choose from.

Are double-bladed lightsabers hard to wield?

Double-bladed lightsabers might be a bit unwieldy at first, especially if you have no experience with staffs or bos. However, our lightsabers are relatively lightweight, so it will take you no time to get used to the swing. As long as you place your balance in the middle (hilt), then you can wield our double-bladed lightsaber easily.

Note: We recommend studying Form IV (Ataru), Form VI (Niman), and the Jar’kai method to master your double-bladed lightsaber. 
Are double bladed lightsabers good for dueling?

Yes. The extended hilt and dual blade reach make double bladed sabers well-suited for sparring and combat choreography. They are lightweight relative to their length thanks to the aircraft-grade aluminum construction. The twin blades also add a tactical dimension. Distract with one side, strike with the other. For heavy-contact competitive dueling, the RGB blade option is the more durable choice since no electronics are housed inside the blade tube.

Is a dual lightsaber a good gift for children?

We do not recommend gifting dual lightsabers to young children. To make our lightsabers lifelike, we use airplane-grade aluminium, which can be quite heavy for a young child. For older children and teenagers, we advise supervising them when they are playing with it. We also recommend starting with starter sabers like the ones in our Apprentice Lightsaber collection.
Can I decouple the double-bladed lightsaber?

Yes, the double-bladed lightsaber can be decoupled to be 2 single-bladed lightsabers. This makes dueling with friends more affordable and enjoyable. The lightsabers are also fully-functional on its own, just like a single-blade lightsaber.
