"Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" will once again hit the big screen on the 25th anniversary of its release. The first episode of this space opera series first hit theaters in 1999 and was written and directed by Star Wars creator George Lucas. The re-release will begin on May 3, 2024, and once again explore young Anakin Skywalker, a young hero who believes in his destiny, and the prophecies about the Chosen One and the balance of power.

The film will be re-released on May 4, the day before Star Wars Day, adding another special dimension to the celebration in the galaxy far, far away. "The Force" seems to be all around us.
