‘The Acolyte’ Draws Biggest Series Premiere on Disney+ This Year

The Believer has become the biggest TV series on Disney+ this year, generating a lot of attention and discussion since its premiere. The series is set during the Republic era in the Star Wars saga and tells the story of an investigation into a shocking crime chain. The show follows a revered Jedi Master as he battles a dangerous warrior from his past. The first episode quickly brings viewers into the storyline with gripping fight scenes and reveals the mystery at the heart of the series.

Leslye Headland, creator and executive producer of The Believer, said: “I really wanted to tell a story about the Sith, and the most logical conclusion was to set the show in a time when the Sith were A period of disadvantage.”

The first two episodes of Believer are currently streaming on Disney+, with new episodes premiering every Tuesday until July 16. Star Wars fans can find the rest of the sprawling saga — from the original trilogy to the latest series — on Disney+.

Created and executive produced by Headland, the series stars Jung-Jae Lee, Amandla Stenberg, Charlie Barnett, Manny Giacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith and Carrie-Anne Moss .
